Dr. Brannon is currently one of the Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He precepts the transitions of care rotations as well as the antimicrobial stewardship rotation. Dr. Brannon also precepts fourth year pharmacy students on institutional pharmacy rotations and incorporates them into rotations with residents through a layered learning approach. He also sits on several committees with the goal of improving patient care and reducing safety events. Dr. Brannon is a Nashville native. He earned a bachelor’s in chemistry from Lipscomb University and later a doctorate of pharmacy from Lipscomb College of Pharmacy. He completed a one-year residency at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. Before coming to Sumner Regional, he worked post residency for Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital. Dr. Brannon earned his Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist certification in 2022.
